i think we need this

I discovered MADSEN Cargo Bikes online, and want one so bad! The price is a little steep, but this would be endlessly useful - for the kiddo, of course, but also for the gazillion books that my husband is always carting around, or groceries, or... you name it. Definitely not buying one before we move, but will definitely have to consider it depending on where we end up.

a few things that recently made me happy

-going to the zoo for ice cream, and watching the "mingos" (flamingos) with matt and leanor
-law & order reruns at 9pm every night
-finally sewing those pajama pants that i've had on my to-do list for 4 months
-finally picking up my knitting again (thanks to: see above, law & order reruns)
-the prospect of big, exciting things to come

and we're off

Tomorrow brings us an early morning flight, a long three hour layover in Newark, and our much anticipated arrival in Boston! I'm looking forward to seeing a number of old friends (and meeting their newish offspring!) but am sad that I won't get more time to bum around the city. There are a number of family obligations as well, and while I'm really excited to see everyone and have them meet L, I'm frustrated that every trip back east becomes a whirlwind. Still, it will be nice to have a dose of cold air and old buddies, and we have a much anticipated trip to the aquarium to look forward to as well.

ha, just kidding!

Um, yeah, right. So about that "post every day" thing... Yeah, not so much. A series of stomach bugs and colds and also more pleasant out of town guests has knocked my little household on its behind, and now we're getting ready to head back east for Thanksgiving. Oh well! It was worth a try.

The crafts have been put on hold too... I don't like the sock pattern that I started, so I'm planning to rip it out, but haven't even got around to that. And limited crafts for me this holiday season - a lack of time, funds, and general goodwill I guess. I'm still hoping to make that doll for L, but that's about it. The rest will likely be lazy gift cards.
